Co-Authoring the ABLE Act
I was proud to bring the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act to the floor today as co-author. It passed through the Senate unanimously.
This legislation allows for the creation of ABLE Accounts, which are tax-exempt savings accounts for the disabled - similar to College 529 savings plans. Indiana now moves one step closer to helping families save for the care of their loved ones without penalty.
