Supreme Court Nomination

The U.S. Senate should not act to confirm a new Supreme Court Justice prior to the inauguration of the next President. With the death of Justice Scalia, the makeup of the Supreme Court hangs in the balance. I stand with those Senators who have advocated for allowing the next President to select the next Justice.

The issues before the Court are of great consequence, and the American people should be allowed to weigh in on what kind of jurist will be selected. My hope is that the next Supreme Court Justice will be one who embraces the conservative principles Justice Scalia promoted.
